AliExpress A8SE Reef Light

sure, I will see how much different it may look compared to the 2 blade grows on the tank now.
Hopefully the app works decent
Mines in the country so hopefully not too much longer

Mine just shipped yesterday. Not sure how long the trip is, but hopefully it makes it through customs quickly.

I recently split my wifi into separate 2.4g and 5g networks. I had another device that would not recognize a mixed network. It had to be 2.4g only before it could see it. It sounds like this light may be the same, so I'm hoping it will go smoothly now.

Since I already have a solo 2.4ghz router setup just for my Hydros on it if i connect it to that it doesnt cause any issues.
The Hydros anytime I had it on my regular system on its dedicated 2.4 it would still drop wifi all the time and even coralvue recommends setup of a cheap wifi router dedicated to it.

Mine shipped Feb 6th and its already being delivered tomorrow according to UPS

If it makes you feel better the instructions that normally come with them have no information besides resetting and downloading the app. (Middle button for 5 seconds)

Yeh exactly, I got the booklet but wouldn't call it instructions. I can't figure out how to save a schedule. Did you sort it out?

Save to Customer - This lets you save the schedule as a template
Save to Device - This lets you save the schedule to the light

Yeh it doesn't work for me. Every time I close the app and reopen it I have to change the time zone. For example the schedule I had set to turn off at 6pm never turned off.

Have you done the firmware update?

It says already new.

Nice, how do you like it?

I have them on a frag/grow out tank that i mainly just use as a dumpster for my main tank when im moving things around and what not and all the coral in there is happy and growing. I have SPS/LPS and Soft corals in the frag tank and its all happy. I run the lights at like 50% and its like 16" over the water and im getting like 150 par on the bottom of the tank and thats more than enough for what i have

The Disney frag in my 25g qt tank growing under an x30 blue. I use their sps template 90%. The corals get like 700+ par and love it. I see there’s an a8 II pro blue now. Anyone using this one?

First thing I did was turned it on to make sure it worked and then i opened it up to put down some thermal paste.

@Sinkers
Did you save hrs in your profil too ?
One thing, here, whit the winter/summer utc change...
Only the "normal utc work" just don't change when you open the app.

What do you mean by profile? Where do you access it?
