Hi, all.
I need help how to stabilize my Alk and PH. Tank is 7 month old.
Live sand and caribsea-rock.
Using Red sea salt. Although I only have fishes, now preparing to get ready for corals.
Currently Dosing RedSea A B and C.
Kalkwasser diluted with saltwater/sump water in a kalk reactor. Dosed 4500ml/day. (This kalkwasser seems no help at all).

However, the Alk keep decreasing almost to 7 everyday. And PH decreasing to 7.9

Has been battling, in past two weeks. Try to raise alk and PH with Sodium-carbonate, sodium-bicarbonate, and Aquavitro-balance.
But still decreasing, never stabilized.

Please help.

Welcome to the forum! This is the introduction area for new members. You should repost this in another part of the forum. You should also include your tank size.

Hopefully we can get you some help. I don't know a lot about kalkwasswer.

You CANNOT run saltwater through kalkwasser it will cause cal/alk to just precipitate out of solution.

You run your top-off (fresh water) through your kalk reactor to replace evaporated water.

Stop dosing everything and only do water changes. You have a major precip issue and the only way to stop it from continuing to occur is with time and water changes.

Welcome to the R2R community! Wish I could help. My only thought was a 2 part but since you’re already using the Red Sea A B C, maybe increase the dosage possibly? At least the first two. Maybe add extra rock as well as it’ll precipitate out due to being limestone(I’d get live rock myself, but I like the critters that can show up).

I don't understand why you feel the need to dose trace elements without any corals .
Personally I'd stop the dosing all together and see how the tank responds.
