Alk suppliment question

I remember there is a reason for this but can't think of it.

I kalk drip 24/7 but evey once in awhile I have to add Alk when my probes read in is slightly lower than I like. This AM I added the dissolved power to my sump and it went into small soft clump like pieces. I think is means something is not balanced, I think?
 
If you have a very high calcium level, adding Kalk can precipitate like you describe.

Yes I believe that was it. Alk and Calium not in sync. Now to correct it.
