I missed that one if it was there...
But I don't foresee any issue there. I've never seen ventralis be really bothered by other active fish.

I bought a wrasse over the weekend. It was identified as a mccoskers. What other reef safe wrasse and go with it? Tank is 3foot 65g. And will the sex of the next wrasse matter?

Well, hundreds of other species, to be frank.

Which does of course eliminate some, but still leaves a lot - easily dozens.

I would get a Yellow fin Flasher and a Blue Flasher. Three males in the 65 gal will be beautiful.
Basically any of the flasher other than an Eightline Flasher

So I've noticed something weird on my two halichoeres wrasses in my tank. They both have very enlarged bellies.

The melanurus I have had for nearly 6 years now. The red line is a juvenile still and is a new addition within the past month. None of my other fish seem to have the big bellies.

What might be causing this?

It can either be simply gorging on a food supply (do you have flatworms?) or it's an intestinal blockage issue.

@evolved I currently have an orange sided fairy wrasse and a mccoskers wrasse. The orange back is about 4" and the mccoskers is about 3". The tank is a 125. I was thinking about adding a pintail wrasse that's about 4". Do you think he'd get picked on? Not as familiar with the fairy wrasses still and their aggression

I don't have flat worms that I'm aware of. It's a 300 gallon aquarium with a large copepod population I'm assuming because my mandarin is quite fat.
I know halichoeres love pods as well.

Considering the dimensions of the tank, it is a bit limiting. The best options are really the pink streak wrasse or a possum wrasse.

Sounds okay.

Copepods aren't big enough to cause that sort of "bloating" though.
