So I finally got brave enough to frag the monster chalice. It was about a foot in diameter!

Barely made a dent. But I did figure out the best way to frag this is with scissors... A scalpel won't cut through the skeleton without "hacking" it, and bone cutters crushed the edge quite a bit (as you can see at the bottom). The little scissors in my surgical (aka frag) kit made the least damage to the surrounding coral... I still need to trim off the ragged edge of the colony.
Dipped the frags and the cut edge of the colony in iodine and will spot feed some Restor later. Hopefully they heal quickly.

Very beautiful tank! I like it a lot! How long have you had that chalice for?
I got it a couple years ago from someone getting out of the hobby. It's doubled in size (at least) since then.

I have a 10 gallon aio set up in another room with pulsing xenia, some fireworks cloves, and a maxi-mini (or mini-maxi, I can't ever remember) and an RFA. I bought another RFA tonight and 2 sexy shrimp :)

Here's the new RFA - pic edited for color, not perfect but close. Pink fringe with black and white stripes.

(And, no @Miami Reef, no fts yet, lol)

Crappy flashlight-after-lights-out pic, but the sexies found the nem!

That’s not sexy; that’s a tube worm.

Edit: I looked at my 37.645” screen (large), and it actually was a sexy. I totally knew that and didn’t just copy it from the user above me. :p

Is it a tube worm that catches food with its feathers?

No not really.
I've been struggling quite a bit with my depression recently and haven't been doing much more than feeding the fish and keeping the ATO reservoir filled.
As someone who also struggles with depression I totally get it. I hope things get better soon.

Hey, friend! I’ve been checking on this build thread, and I‘m so sorry you’ve been struggling so much.

I wanted to ask you a slightly off-topic question. My trochus snails keep doing nasty things in my tank. When I wake up in the morning, I can see my tank super cloudy with “micro bubbles.”

However, it’s not micro bubbles. It’s snail corn (replace the “c” with a “p” please)

A little birdie told me that I’m not the only one with tank inhabitants getting the freak on. Are you experiencing something similar in your tank?
