It was mentioned up there, but I made this one for under $10 out of conduit from Lowes. It was really clean looking.

Still love this mount I did...

Here is the bracket I used VideoSecu LCD LED Monitor TV Ceiling Mount For Most 15"-27" Flat Panel Display with VESA100x100, 75x75, Fit flat and vaulted ceiling mount, and wall mount B17 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WXIFS4/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_7Zz7vbGDMG8P1

Simply opened up the box drilled a couple pilot holes through the metal backing and used self tapping screws to affix the bracket. Lmk what you think or if you have any questions.

I got the idea to use the bracket from a post on how to mount radions.

Just ordered two lights and two of these mounts for my 75g. Did you have to drill or do anything to the lights or just drill a couple holes in the mounts to screw them onto the lights?

Bumping my question about this set up lo. I have two of the lights and two of the mounts in. How exactly did you get the lights attached? Just want to make sure I'm covering my bases and don't screw them up haha.

I have been wondering how I would mount lights...25 ft high ceiling and stairs behind my DT...looks like PVC to the rescue!
Have you noticed any sagging/bowing?

The cross bars have a piece of metal electrical conduit inside them. The screws mounting the lights go through both locking them together.
It has never sagged.

this is exactly what i am looking for as well for my 30w 29g!!! Just ordered the light and researching ideas for mounting. Ive got the general idea and get the jist of the conduit. I cant figure out tho how you "mounted" the lights to the bar. Specifically where the hanging cord normally is attached. can you post a close up of that area? or possibly explain. I may just end up hanging it for "adjustability" but would like to have a more permanent solution for the future. Thanks!!
