Alve a bit stressed

I’ve had this piece for about 3 weeks now and it looked fine until 2 days ago. My other coral look fine it’s just this piece giving me some trouble. Any thoughts? I have another alve that’s growing pretty well as some new polyps are coming out of the base

I should probably mention I had a pretty big salinity spike a day ago (1.030) could that be the culprit?

It is a bit tricky to see the condition of the Alve from the pic. Something under white light will be easier to view. With that being said if you had a large salinity swing that is likely the cause of it being stressed. Most corals don't react too well to swings. I would bring back the salinity to normal range slowly as you don't want multiple large swings back to back.

Peramiters, tank age and other tank inhabitants. The salinity spike may have been it but lets check everything else aswell.

Every coral has a personality of it's own. We have has similar corals right next to each other where one doesn't like something and the other is perfectly fine. Also wild Alves are much more sensitive than aquacultured ones. It is hard to know why that one specifically was affected more than the others.

Tanks 9 months just got a gramma, 1 scarlet hermit and 5 turbo snails. I’m not home at the moment but will check parms as soon as I am thanks

And if you guys can help as well, my hammer has had its mouth open for a while, it’s new got him on Saturday any thoughts?

hey so I’m posting this incase anyone has the same problem and this could be their solution. I figured out was was wrong, my alve was pretty mad at my nitrates and phosphates at 0. I dosed some nitrates and fed a really good amount of reefroids and it’s slowly been opening more and more each day. I could consider this a win
