Am I crazy or is this coralline starting?

The rocks in the pictures were dry when I got them. They never had coralline. I've been watching these spots grow over the last week or 2. They are slow growing but are noticably larger than they were. The newer rock has some coralline and my snails have coralline so there are spores in there. I am really hopeful that this is coralline.

Both of those pictures look like a sea of green fuzz.. Could you help us out a little bit by circling what you are seeing?

In my opinion I think those rocks look a little too immature for coralline algae.

I would have thought that too. Whatever it is looks like it's depositing calcium but there is another algae type that looks like coralline but isn't. I have to find out what it's called again because I can't remember now. I was hoping it really was coralline but I honestly couldn't see how it could be. Thank you.
