Hello. I bought the waterbox marine x60.2 from my LFS. The sump was brand new. The tank however was on display, and there was some sand, and decoration in it. I didnt think of anything.

So i brought it home, and upon inspecting it, noticed a lot of hairline scratches, that i can feel all of them with my finger. And to make the matter worse, i dropped my wrench while working on the tank. Now there's more scratches.

Waterbox said, they cant do nothing about it in terms of replacing it. As i shouldve called it 24-48 hours after purchasing it. I didnt fill it yet from the fear of leaks.

I know waterbox tanks are 10mm, and very strong. But i truly need your opinion on this. Thank you

You probably won't notice much once filled with water, but if you paid me price I would be taking it back to the store that you bought it from and letting them deal with Waterbox

If the scratches are just on the bottoms you will be covering it with sand anyways. Hopefully they gave you a discount since it was already unpacked. I personally wouldn’t worry about it though unless on the front panel for veiwing purposes

My 60Gallon Marineland freshwater tank I bought on sale at Petsmart and noticed a fairly deep scratch on the bottom of it upon bringing it home. I got it really cheap like $100 for the stand light and tank so I just decided to use silicone water sealant on the crack. I've never had any issues with it leaking and its been full of water for years now.
