Hi all, a couple weeks ago I started adding amino acids and now there is an algae outbreak.

Not bad but more than I'm use to. Dosing is still 25% of recommended dose. Nitrate at 5-6 phosphate 0.04.

Thoughts?

I dont have any real facts that support that there is a connection, but I also noticed that when I dosed amino acids I got more algae on my glass and just general more algae growth. Could have been something else but I actually stopped adding aminos for now and just add phytoplankton instead.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
