Ammonia after using prazipro HELP

I used prazipro and my ammonia reads 1.0 this is in a qt tank that I set up for emergency does the prazi create this or is it fish waste. If the prazi throws of my readings what should I do? Help quik

Any medication in the tank?

No other medication except prazipro

Maybe I need to do a water change and add live rock from my fowlr

The ammonia is at between 1.0 and 2.0. I have 5 small tangs in a 55 gallon qt only about 2 to 3 iches

I heard prazi can riase ph and turn ammonium to more toxic ammonia maybe thats what happens my ph is at 8.4

Any amount is dangerous. I would get that down. Some LR might help process that but w.c. would help quickly.

Just 2 marineland 350 hang on back filters

Emergency qt doesn't have bacteria to process amonia. If you can add LR that will help process amonia. I would do a water change or dose prime to detoxify it.

your ammonia is not from prazi, you simply have an uncycled tank and if you put fish in it, will kick start the cycle. The Ammonia reading is the beginning of the cycle. You only option now it get the fish out or pour bio-spira in there.

How long to you plan on using this qt.
Different process for permanent qt vs. Emergency qt.
Permanent should be cycled
An emergency can be done without cycling but will require ammo lock and lots of w.c.

Do not add an ammonia reducer on top of prazipro
I believe it can reduce oxygen levels.
@Humblefish @melpyr1985 can confirm.

Do a water change, prazipro can be redone if needed. When did you add it?

Why didn't you just add the prazipro to your main tank it's reef safe

I plan a qt for a month I got my fish form lfs but it was unexpected so that is why I have a emergency qt

From now on I will have a filter inside my dt so I can seed my tank
