Hey Mic. I do a bunch of things that I believe give my corals good color. I run ROWA Phos which is Granular Ferric Oxide as one way to rid of phosphates. I also have a DELTEC AP701 that is rated for 400 gallons thats gravity fed. I supplemental dose do my water changes make sure my bulbs are fresh I feed pretty heavy...etc. I don't believe that there is one way to get good color but I do think most ways are similar. Thanks!

Here is a photo of my red a.bowerbanki. One of my favorites because of its bold color and great appetite. bfam4t6 on here has a really cool blue and green bowerbanki thats stunning!

Thanks for the response, what is your definition of heavy feeding? What do you feed?

I feed frozen rotifers and PE Mysis. I like the PE Mysis because its high in Omega 3 and 6, amino acids and are also gut loaded with phytoplankton. The crude protein is around 70%!! Versus Hikari Mysis is around 10%. So a very potent food which in some systems you need to be careful not to over do it. I really like the frozen rotifers because its a perfect size for all the filter feeders, also high in aminos. When I feed I like to mash up the food in to a mush. This allows every one even the corals too to get in on the feeding. I'll feed about 2 cubes of mysis and 2 cubes of rotifers a day. Total water volume is about 35 gallons.

Yea i think that quaifies as heavy feeding. How do you keep up with the water quality?

I run a big butt skimmer on the system..LOL! Its a Deltec AP701 rated for close to 400 gallons. I have it gravity fed from the over flow. I also do my water changes, run carbon and ROWA.

For this system might as well!..LOL Its a Deltec. I have it gravity fed. Unfortunately their new line up of skimmers can't be fed that way.

You feed twice as much in ur 35g total as. Do in my 200g total lol and this included the 3 tangs i had. I feed less now but still like 15+fish
