I’ve had this gbta for about 2 weeks now and the past day or two it’s been shriveled up and deflated. Checked all parameters and everything seems good. It accepts food and is holding on to the rock with its foot. I do have a maroon that’s constantly smothering it when it’s opened but it hasn’t been doing so as the anemone has been deflated. Should I try separating the two? I will insert a picture below for the size comparison of the anemone to the clown. Parameters also included.
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
Ph: 7.8
Temp: 77.5
Salinity: 1.025
Kh/alk carbonate hardness: 9.6-9.3
Calcium: 420-430
Magnesium: 1320
Phosphate: 0

Your params ain't great. Should have a few nitrates and phosphates. Lately 0 is bad. Unless you're a purist and your tank is matured to the point these params are normal.
As for clowns pestering anems this is a thing. My lmc(lightning maroon clownfish) are constantly bothering the anems. If your anem is doing good, just getting beat up, maybe the answer is another anem. Anems go through cycles of inflated deflated, bubbled not bubbled etc. Put the new anem close to the other one, or your clown may claim the whole dang tank, and that is not great...

I’m sure I do have some nitrate/phosphate present in the tank but may not be much as I used a color chart and matched it to the closest match. Anemone was doing great up until now (opened up, accepting food). Would you recommend getting a whole new one in a larger size? Would it be better to return my current one?

No, keep both. Get the same kind, though. That way, if one is taking a break, they have another one to go into. I had a green one for about a year, then i killed it. Cause i got lazy, dont be like me. This time around my wife will kick my butt if her precious anemones die...

Laziness is a real killer in this hobby lol. That’s why I’m trying to act as soon as a I notice anything wrong. Rather act fast before it’s too late :)

Sounds normal to me, but im no expert, unless its killing them, then i have experience...
Trust your gut, if it looks abnormal: mouth open, moving around, looking like Medusa then yeah its not happy and prolly dying.
There will be signs, its up to you to act upon them.
When the "experts" wake up they'll chime in too. Happy reefing!

Find another one that is bigger if possible. The clowns rubbing into nems is a good thing. But it can take a toll on them after a while. Especially a massive Maroon. I got a new Sherman, and my brothers 3” maroon was pounding that beauty! I then took off to the store and got a GBTA that was a bit bigger. Both are doing great. The GBTA is about 3.5-4”. This is in a 25 IM lagoon tank. But my main DT I have 5 clowns. And the maroon is nasty about the nems! But I have about 12 in that tank. My biggest is a RBTA that is about 8-10” big. And a few others in the 6”.
