If you want to give it a little bit more time it looks like you need to do a water change. And after that if things get even worse then take it out. Put it in the bucket or container with the same water of the tank and the heater at the minimum

If I am unable to do that at this moment but will be able to i’m a few hours can I wait or does this need to come out asap?
You should be OK one thing that could be happening is it could be performing a water change on itself since it’s looks like it’s gotten bigger. One thing is for certain you will need to perform a water change at least start mixing the water now so you can do a change in a couple of hours if possible.

You may have to setup a hospital tank so that you can treat it with meds. Gaping mouth is not a good sign. Look up ciprofloxacin treatments for nems.

What should I do at this point?
Allow it as mentioned to settle. Any actions taken will stress it further. Ive seen this numerous times to hear next morning, it looks great. In transit, it has gone through blackout and temperature changes and needs to adjust. Placing in a bucket with airstone is Not going to help this anemone - your tank will.

Coming from somebody who has BTAs and All types of corals I’d say you might be OK but you do have to do a water chang

I agree with you it should be left in the tank and do a water change to dilute the water of pollutions

Ok thank you so much for the peace of mind. It continues to look worse as the mouth gapes further but I will leave it alone before I completely ruin its chance of survival!

Of course. Sorry for the delay. Most recent picture about 40 minutes ago!
Yeah, it needs a hospital tank with new clean water. A 5 gallon bucket or tote (anything that holds water of at least 5 gallons). A heater and something to create flow. A small hob filter would be great if you have one, but not required. Some sort of barrier that lets water flow through to keep the nem from the heater and wavemaker.

ask on local fish pages if anyone has some cipro you can buy from them. Read the cipro sticky in the anemone forum.

ASAP
