anemone eating fish

Anyone ever had a anemone eat a fish. My anemone just split so I'm a little worried he's stress

Any fish that is dumb enough to get into an anemone will be eaten...that's what they do in nature....even if it's too big it will still kill it and leave it on the sandbed. As for the splitting....it can be used by stress or just feeding enough and temp. Of course this is depending on the species of anemone (assuming it's a bubble tip).

It is normal for an anemone to split , and yes a carpet anemone will eat a fish, it is very sticky , if any fish touches the anemone it will have it for lunch. What kind of anemone do you have that is splitting?

My anemone ate my flasher wrasse about a week ago, found it Halfway in its mouth.

So the big one is been under rock for almost day one got him about a month ago the badly somehow went to the top and been there about a day

BTA it can eat fish if weak or sick, I have never seen one eat a healthy fish, from my own experience;)

how long have you had your tank before you put the anemone in?

Let the anemone settle in and keep an eye on the clown fish , check your perimeters and do your water changes and you will be fine

You don`t have to feed the anemone, I tried this several times and he would spit it out after the lights went out and just polluted the water, The most important is regular water changes and monitor your perimeters.;)
