LTA was fine this morning, been in tank for a week. What’s happening? It’s not a goner right ? Maybe put it in the 90 gallon to recover?

Am I looking at the bottom or top of it? It does not look good and possibly sick - how long have you had it

I’ve had it for about a week. First pic is the top/mouth second is bottom

Doesn’t look amazing, is it bleached as well?tank parameters or we are guessing lol but bleached and sick /non ideal conditions could cause anemone to wither

It was most definitely bleached but didn’t think it would be a problem since I’m using a weak Hygger screw on light.

That’s all I know for sure as of right now. Let me do a nitrates check on lunch and I’ll do a complete test after work. I’ll attach a pic of him as well

Now that I’m home and looking at it I think it’s a goner. Huge bummer. Looks about the same as it did yesterday

What went wrong?

Do you have a picture of it prior to its decline?

But it does not look healthy. Looks like its expelling guts. Does it respond to feeding?

I would increase the temp to 78-79 slowly and see how it responds.

It was falling apart. I think you’re right it looked like it was inside out. I wonder what it was that caused it everything else is fine and the tank is 3+ years old haha

I have bad luck with anemones I guess… my carpet suicided into the power head randomly after a power outage too !!

Dang sorry to hear. Did you get it at a reputable place? Sometimes they are already far too gone by the time you get it. Might look fine at the store since its slightly adjusted but then you introduce changes to it with a new tank and it declines rapidly.

Meanwhile I got 4 BTAS in a 5 gallon tank that are surviving champs lol.

If it was bleached it could have been starving , and wouldn’t be able to get energy from light , requiring feedings , sorry to hear maybe try an anemone from a hobbyist not a pet store
