Anemone floating

Hello all,

so I bought an anemone today I put him in my tank and he latched onto the rock nicely but now he is just floating around the tank. Is this normal? What should I do?

Make sure it can't get into your powerheads, otherwise, leave him be. He'll find a spot he likes and attach.

He’s looking for a spot he likes but this is a dangerous period where he could get sucked into a pump which is ***BAD***.

How is he gonna find a stop just floating like that. It looks like he is just going with the current.

I’d probably turn your pumps down or off.

Thanks. I try and get a good bit of color in there so it still has a long ways to go.

Turn off all of your pumps until it has latched on (or if you have a low flow spot you can stick it in that'll work)

Also what happens if he lands next to my frogspawn or hammerhead? I don’t want any of them to hurt each other.

This is the gamble you take with anemones. It will go where it wants too and you'll have to move your corals

I’m hoping he moves. I’m not sure how long I should wait until I move the coral.
