A section of my RBTAs foot is no longer attached. Looks like the tissue has died. Anyone ever seen this? Thoughts?
thinking I may force a split but wanted to get feedback first.

It doesn't look like necrosis to me. It looks more like the BTA took a walk and "stepped" on some algae. Try wiping it off and see if can attach. Better yet, remove the BTA from the wall, wipe off the brown stuff, then place the BTA in a hole in a rock in a location that you like. They don't like flat surfaces and prefer to keep their foot hidden.

He picked that spot and hasn’t moved in over a year. I am upgrading to a new tank this weekend so I will see if I can pick it off. If he was wedged in a rock chances are I never would have noticed it.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
