This is my green bubble tip anemone. ( its diameter is about 6 cm).
The tank is is about 60 litres and only houses this anemone, a tiger serpent brittle star and one turbo snail. In the initial phase my nitrates used to be around 25 ppm..after a hair algae out break , and adding chaeto to the system they have become undetectable ( as per the Salifert test kit)
I have had it for 8 months now. Initially it was growing rapidly and now its growth has stopped.
Since it is so high on the glass..I fear it is not getting enough PAR, so I am feeding it more frequently..(one third block of hikari mysis every alternate day, and a snall piece of grocery store shrimp twice every week). It seems to accept the food, and never spits it out.
Am I doing everything correctly? Is he healthy? Also is he bleached in any way? And is there a method I can increase the zooxanthellae concnetration ?
[ The rock is purple due to some weird optical effects in the camera...the colour of the anemone seems unchanged.]
