Hopefully these help, I was able to get a pic of the foot under the oral disc. There are raised bumps that are slightly darker in color than the foot itself. It didn’t feel sticky and I didn’t feel a sting, but I checked after I pulled it out of the water for the pic and stressed it out.
hi,don't do that.. ;)

Ok, I’ve managed to convince myself that it’s every type of carpet and none of them. I’ve been looking up how to ID this and now completely unsure. It seems like it might be a haddoni? Here’s what I‘compiled:

Haddoni:
Similarities identified
1. Bumps under oral disc same color as foot
2. Body column white/tan
3. Tentacles short and bulbous
4. Folded oral disc
5. Tentacle free near mouth
6. Internal rings of tentacles smaller than outer rings
Doesn’t fit:
1. Oral disc densely covered (doesn’t seem dense to me)
2. Outer fringe with alternating long & short tentacles. Could this be because it’s all one color and just not obvious?
3. I haven’t observed it retreat completely under sand. It will contact quickly and fold up some, but hasn’t done more than that. Although it was only briefly completely in sand....

Mertensii:
Similarities identified:
1. Body white or tan
2. Tentacles less sticky (could just be because I keep messing with it)
3. Sticky under disc (sand adhered and wouldn’t blow off)
4. It stayed on rock for the first several days then moved to be half on, half off rock, so I guess I’m not sure yet which base it prefers
4. Pictures of oral disc seem most similar

doesn’t fit:
1. I still don’t see any orange or magenta spots on the body
2. Oral disc is not densely covered (perhaps my understanding of dense is off)
3. Body is not narrow, it is relatively bulky

any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, the nem has been settling in for a couple weeks and I’m still stumped. I’m leaning towards Haddoni at this point or even possibly a gig haddoni hybrid? ....
Anyone else wanna weigh in? Here are way too many pics if that helps...
The lighting in the pics isn’t great, but it’s purple with fluorescent green tips. The column is whitish with darker purple under the oral disc. I can’t see the bottom of the foot, it is in a rock crevice and hasn’t tried to move from the rock. I don’t think it can completely retract inside the column.

@OrionN I’ve been told you are THE expert. I don’t suppose you have a few minutes to take a look and give your opinion? It would be greatly appreciated :)

I’m chiming in here because I have been on the hunt for an id on this….I am 100% sure you and I have the same anemone, yours is more colored up, but mine is getting there. I bought it very discounted Bc of its health at a frag swap…it was sold to me as a ritterri but for the life of me…cannot ID.
It’s carpet like, but it’s not; sebae like but not; riterri but not, the only thing I am certain- is that it is not a bubble nor a condy lol it took me so long just to get it to attach to anything and it’s finally set it’s foot down in the sand. My
Maroons on occasion will hang w it for a few minutes, and then back to the bubbles and magnifica…I hope you get a true ID! I’m searching ❤️

Can you get a pic of the underside of the disk and a 100% white light pic of the tents?

Yours almost looks like a sebae, but hard to tell in the blue pics.

I can’t, it finally is well footed, but looking at the photos above, they are one and the same from the OP, if I hadn’t spent so much tlc on it, I would bother it lol
