Hi all. Someone just sent me this picture. Thinking Bubble tip but it’s a bit of a strange looking one with the short tentacles? Can anybody confirm or deny please?

Thanks in advance.

Looks more like a LTA, BTA's body does not look like that. BTA tentacles are on the outside floating up, BTA's generally do not have tentacles on the body towards the mouth, LTA's do.

That is typically what lta’s end up looking like when they are at an lfs for too long or just in a tank too long with subpar conditions (lighting in particular, water parameters, etc). The shape and posture is what makes me think lta.

Confirmation of what it is can be made with a look on the column/ underside of the oral disc for verrucae.

As others have stated, a pic of the foot is needed for a firm ID. For what its worth, it looks like its attached to a rock, not buried in the sand which would indicate BTA.

As for tentacle location, here is a bta with the flow off. You can see tentacles near the mouth similar to yours.

Sorry it’s been a couple of days. Thanks for all the replies folks. I will try and get a picture of it’s foot from the guy that owns it. I hear what you’re saying about the LTA but these aren’t very common in the UK so I’m still leaning ever so slightly towards bta for the moment.
