its trying to move around the tank because it is distressed after getting sucked up. is your intake open or did u put the filter tip on it. you could add a coarse sponge filter over the intake if it is too big. nothing you can really do but just keep your tank running as is maybe add some carbon if you havent yet, and in a couple days another 10% water change with salt and rodi.

yes it can definitely still recover but nothing is 100% in this hobby espescially in such a young tank. send a pic of the intake because there is almost no way the anemone can it past the sponge to be pulled into the filter unless it was on wrong

The sponge had fallen off the filter intake when he got in but I put it back on. That is what it looks like.

makes more sense that it fell off just make sure it is on there solid this time. nothing you can really do next is just being patient and waiting for it to recover. maybe some added carbon just for some left over tap water stuff but again its mostly just time

Is the clownfish trying to host in the anemone now? No dont touch it more damage is going to be done by physically moving the anemone, you might turn down flow if he is being sent around the tank but i doubt you have too much flow

It can recover with good parameters that are stable , might be hard with new tank. I’d recommend getting a breeding box to put him in until he’s fully recovered that way he won’t be tumbling around the tank and you can monitor / put him in a good spot

clownfish looks like its trying to host so you may have to move the anemone to an isolation box like an acclimation box or a small tupperware with holes in it for water flow. The clownfish might be doing more damage than help now that the anemone got sucked into the filter

I decided to just pit him back on the rock because he was upside down and was like that for a while but he immediately attached his foot to the rock. And now he is opening up.
