So i just came home to find my anemone looking injured/splitting and I’m not sure what to do or what it could be. Unfortunately he settled on a hystrix a couple weeks ago and i let him be. Now it looks like its strangled around it.. What to do?

Hard to say for sure. Given that the sharp points of some SPS can puncture anemones, I’d guess injured.

I would attempt to remove the (presumably now dead) SPS frag.

I will try to, it’s not completely dead yet i think, ill try to take it out and place it somewhere else where the nem can’t go. It looks like its strangled around it, do i try to get it loose from the SPS? I’m kind if scared i will accidentally rip it apart..

I would lever the frag up with a flat blade screw driver. See if you can gently remove it. If not, leave it loose and the anemone may well drop it.

After getting bit multiple times by my clowns i got the hystrix loose, the nem immediately dropped it.
