I have a 32 Biocube with anemones and clowns. There are also a few LPS corals. I tested the water today to find the magnesium a little low. Do anemones require high mag levels? I typically maintain levels in this tank with water changes and, frankly, don’t test a lot. My ICP test came back pretty good (except for strontium being low). I also have strontium and a Salifert kit for but have never used either.

Should I be concerned? What elements are most important to anemones?

Magnesium is important for keeping calcium and alk in solution, and is also incorporated into stony coral skeletons, tridacna clam shells, coralline algae, etc.
I don't know that anemones have any need for a particular magnesium level.
Strontium used to be considered important for coralline algae growth, although this doesn't appear to be widely believed now.
I doubt anemones have any specific use for it either.
