So I got a used tank with rainbow nems hosting 2 mated lighting maroons. Maroons are mean as you would expect and then some. A lot of nem/clown tanks out there that stop there but wanted more variety and seemed like you could do more with a clown/nem tank so I have since added a snowflake morey and a dwarf lionfish. Thus far going well, the eel once grabbed one of the clowns when I was feeding it but it escaped, otherwise eel is not interested i. Its tank mates and no one wants anything to do with the lionfish and it doesnt want anything to do with them. We will see how this goes. Maybe just posting because I am sure there are plenty of people out there with super aggressive clown fish, but you can still do some cool stuff despite them while getting to enjoy the clown fish/nem affair. Anyone had similar experiences or ideas on what we could do more with this tank?

I had a similar experience many years ago.
One of my clients had the exact same fish in a 180 gallon reef. The Maroon clown was over 8 inches long and when I would stick my arm in the tank for maintenance the Maroon would draw blood from biting me.
So I would say as long as your Maroon is large enough it should be fine but there’s always the risk still.
I wish that lion fish did eat that clown after all the times it bit me and drew blood….lol
