So I have been having a devil of a time trying to get my new half black angelfish to eat anything. I've tried two varieties of flakes, hikari pellets, mysis, a frozen angel mix, two types of seaweed, Garlic Guard. It doesn't even look twice at any of this stuff. The only thing I've been successful at getting it to eat are pods - it went to town when I put a bottle of them into the tank.

My two questions are: (1) anyone have suggestions on what I can try next and (2) is it possible I am being fooled and, while I am not in the room, it is munching on the copious red ogo, shaving brushes, halimeda, etc. I have in the tank, and is just never actually hungry?

Thanks!

Start with live brine shrimp or last resort live black worms.
Other foods:
LRS reef frenzy
Spirulina brine shrimp
Romaine lettuce- freeze leaf then thaw and place in tank

Just closing the loop on this. I finally got the fish eating - I would never have guessed but Hikari freeze dried brine shrimp did it. Also seems to be pecking at some sea lettuce I have tossed in there.
