Hi
I've almost completed the installation of my new Red Sea reefer 350.
but I've got some dripping water noise in the filter socks area

Does anyone have any tricks/suggestions to cut out that water noise?

Thank you.

Have you adjusted the over flow valve? To get it right it takes small incremental changes. We are talking a hair.

Does the overflow plumbing end above the water level of the sump? That can be noisy. Mine ends about an inch underwater in the sump and it’s super quiet.

Finished my Reefer 250 recently, i still have a small drip from my filter sock area from where the sock holder slides into the bracket. i haven't figured out fully how to stop the drip and it is getting kind of annoying, seems like it isnt making a good seal.

it was quite a job to adjust but i got this part ok,
the sound come from the water falling into the filter sock

Also what’s your turnover rate for the sump?

Watching that video now I feel like that sound might be from high flow into the filter socks.

I have to say though that’s pretty quiet.

oups
so i should stop complaining then lollll:D
Nah if it annoys you it annoys you lol.

If your sump has adjustable height into the next chamber you could try raising the water level. That could help.

If not you could try putting something above the filter sock that will let water flow through easily enough but break up the fast flow. That might work too.

return pump is a cor-20 set at 45 % so turnover should be around 900 gph

it may be a good idea to drop that flow a little bit

I had same problem, added more water to sump and it went away, also adjusting the slider in back of sump will raise and lower the water height
