I got into contact with a fishery in Sri Lanka and asked him if he had any eels, he sent me a video of this eel which I found really astonishing, i never knew such an eel existed or i couldn't even come close to finding something as close

@Slocke
@ISpeakForTheSeas
I am sure you both will have fun figuring this one out!

That's a really cool eel. I'll try and find out what it is today

Honestly can't even find an eel that comes remotely close. Its so unique you'd think it would be easy
Indeed! He was not kidding when he said it was rare Lol, I haven't decided to get it yet since I can't imagine the costs of the import charges Lol, but I am really tempted.

There's also a gymnothorax ruppelliae which is getting shipped to me on Monday so I am definitely excited to share that!

Its possible but then it would look somewhat similar to the parent species

Yeah, I found an all black moray so maybe it mixed with a tess or something? Just a thought

He did call it a tess but I am not sure, he could've meant a different eel, there was a facebook post last year from a different branch in Sri lanka posting a video of a *hybrid* eel it was absolutely beautiful, want me to send that video here?

Holy S-!!!! That is a beautiful eel!!! For sure a fang tooth of some kind. Are you getting it???
Indeed it's beautiful, but my savings has already been compromised by getting the gymnothorax ruppelliae which is coming to me on Monday haha, but I'll definitely try, it's hard for me to let go of such a rare species (might sell a kidney) haha

That looks almost like the one you were shown!
Just got to know the cost of it, the total cost would be around 1500 hundred us dollars, it's definitely out of my budget right now haha, especially after spending 800 dollars on the rueppelliae, sadly i have no choice but to miss out on it now, maybe I'll contact him again in 2 or 3 months and see how that goes
