Another WD Tenuis Grow-Out Thread

So... I picked up this beautiful 3/4" Walt Disney Tenuis frag last night. :):):)



I will be growing my WD out under a Kessil A360WE in an IM Fusion 20g. (I know you're probably asking yourself, "is this even possible?") I actually thought the exact same thing to be completely honest. ;)

The challenge in itself has me beyond excited for this wonderful opportunity to keep such a magnificent acro and I'm quite excited to hopefully prove the impossible.

Its possible. I have a 20 fusion..sps dominant. But i run a xr30 g3 pro not a kessil if it makes a difference

I think the ability to pull brilliant colors from SPS with a Kessil is what most people would see as more of a challenge. I have quite a bit of SPS in my Fusion and haven't had any trouble keeping my sticks colored up under the Kessil. I could imagine the growth would be far more exceptional with the light spread of the XR30.

Oops I've been slacking... Haha this whole post got swept under the rug. I've made several changes recently. Scratch the Kessils... I went with Radions and the growth has taken off.

Let me get pics and I'll update this thread, this weekend.

Oops I've been slacking... Haha this whole post got swept under the rug. I've made several changes recently. Scratch the Kessils... I went with Radions and the growth has taken off.

Let me get pics and I'll update this thread, this weekend.

Trust me, at times I miss the Kessil shimmer... Unfortunately it makes my brain hurt anytime that I see a tank lit under them now...

The color has definitely shifted and it drew more pink out but that's what I was hoping for. It's been encrusting pretty quickly and the base is much thicker now.

Good to hear. I went from the smaller kessil to the larger and never saw any growth at all on my corals. I switched to a hydra 26hd and watched the bases begin encrusting after a few weeks.
