I currently have 6 Carberryi Anthias (Nemanthias carberryi) in my 180g DT. I would like to add 6 Maldives Lyretail Anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) to the tank as well. Would this work out or would there be nothing but trouble from the 2 groups?

If I remember right most anthias are fine with other groups and even the males aren't an issue because they are from different type. I was looking at adding the lyretails w/ bartletts and was told it would be fine because of this reasoning.

Anthias are sequential hermaphrodites, meaning they can change sex. Add an odd number of females to your tank and you should be fine. Adding male anthias of a different species sometimes causes havoc. I like to just add females and let that group decide who's going to change to male.
