I have a 40 gallon breeder and I would like to add an anthia. Are their anybspecies I can add that wont break the bank (blotched anthia)?

Sunberst is a good bet for 1, randalls for 3.

Most anthias need swimming room. 40 may be a bit tight. Easiest is Bartlett.

Agreed 40 is small. Live Aquaria suggests 70+ for almost all of them.

I have resplendants and they are small, 3" max. They are also pretty hardy. I've had them over 2 years and I only feed once a day. Generally multiple feedings gives better success with anthias. They could be a good choice.
