I am going to upgrade to a 90g tank soon. Are there any Anthias that would work for this tank size?
Please share ideas.

I have a couple Lyretail Anthia's in my 220. Sites typically state these should have a 125 min...but I'm not sure why. In the 7 years I've had them, there not much bigger than my clowns. They do eat a lot though...

Resplendent Anthia's are not listed as needing as much of a tank - maybe look into those? 70g min...

Thanks a lot! That really helped. Will look into those Resplendent Anthias

I’m also kind of curious about this too.

I have a 115 gallon tank that is basically just 90 with a few extra inches (my tank measures 36” x 26” x 28” whereas a 3’ 90 is 3’ x 2’ x 2’)

I’ve been planning for years that I would have a group of flame anthias (Pseudanthias ignitus). They grow to a maximum of 3” in length.

I was hoping to put between 7-11 of these guys in my system. I don’t know if it’ll work though.

According to liveaquaria, a 70 gallon tank is the minimum for them.

If I wanted to put a trio of Lyretails, how big of a tank should I get?

According to fish stores - 125g. Much is subjective...I personally don't thing there's much difference between a 75, 90, and 115, as they all have the similar surface/lateral swim area. A "standard" 125 takes the length to 6' - which extends their swim area immensely over a 115g high.

I asked my LFS, and they said for 2, a 60. Is this true or do they just want to sell?

I have one in my 120 gallon he's always swimming in one corner of my tank
