I used to have a small slate bottom tank.... anybody have one of those? I love the character of this tank..
My 5 gallon was black with white splatter!all the new tanks i bought in school were stainless framed...slate bottom...tar sealed...Metaframe was the brand...matching stainless hoods...had an even older one with a plain steel frame painted black with a white splatter pattern on it
I came across a collection of antique tanks once and thought it was fascinating. I'll try to find it again. Anything that relates to the history of our hobby is so interesting. If someone wrote a book about it, I'd read it.
But I second @cshuston, it's got a modern trim.
You should look up Philip Henry Gosse, he pretty much invented aquariums in the 1800’s and wrote a book about it!I came across a collection of antique tanks once and thought it was fascinating.
