Any artists here?

Hmm I am thinking maybe something "reef" inspired with a nice R2R logo on it to give away?? :D

Paid for by R2R of course.

One of my old paintings:

I've seen some of your stuff on FB and it's awesome! Welcome back!

I painted for a while. Thinking about getting back into it. I sorta suck at it, but enjoy it nonetheless. I would like to do marine life this time as opposed to buildings and landscapes

This is a balcony in Hell's Kitchen as viewed from the top of a tour bus:

The bottom strip of this one shows the process of painting it:

This is a church in Venice, Italy.

Some random New England Lighthouse:

and finally, just an old shack, but one I like.

Haha, love your modesty. Nice watercolor man. I never could get the hang of that medium. Maybe you could paint a reef themed watercolor using seawater as a carrier.

Seawater would be cool when it evaporated, watercolor texture :)

Thanks. I have never painted with anything else as I am too lazy for the cleanup. As for the reef theme with salt water, if the salt did not screw up the pigment, it would add some great texture. Actually, salting a watercolor when it is wet can create a texture like that around the boat in the above pic. Since this thread started, I have been thinking about a reef painting though. Might need to break out my gear some rainy Saturday.

Regarding the "Aloe Ferox", that is very nice.

I want to do a life like reef painting.. meaning I paint the rocks on, wait a month... draw some CUC after a while and then color in a zoa here and there and add to them every few months. hahahah

Yeah, but how do you unpaint a diatom bloom?

Let's just say the rock and water I painted was from an established tank so I bypassed the cycle ;)
