Any idea what these little purple things are?

Over the last couple of months what appear to be little purpleish almost fuzzy looking spheres have started popping up on my rocks. They don’t scrub off easily, I’ve taken a toothbrush to them to see and it doesn’t really seem to have any effect on them. They don’t seem to be causing issues, but who knows what they’ll end up doing down the road.

Looks like coralline algae. But it's hard to say without seeing a picture under white light.

Some people like coralline algea, some hate it. I like it and seed for it early on. Just shortly after the cycle is complete. Once it starts growing I consider it a sign that my tank is ready to support more complex life.

Put short, when the purple shows up I start adding coral. Specifically easy SPS, Staghorn, digitata, monti cap.

If it was cyano it would come off pretty easy.

Looks a little reddish. And you said fuzzy looking. Which sounds cyano like.

Definitely doesn’t seem like cyano, kind of what I thought it was at first but it is really on there.
