Mabye i can do nero3 and nero 5, but the price is same and looks like people prefer nero 5 over nero 3.
Interesting, Nero 3 is 30% cheaper (in Canada), but yes not a huge price difference. The other benefit in a smaller tank is the size. I just received a Nero 3 and a Nero 5 (to be used on a 65 gal tank). The Nero 3 is MUCH smaller than the Nero 5 (less than half the size) so much less obtrusive in the tank, but the performance only 34% less, 2000 gal/hr VS. 3000 Gal/hr

I’m a newbie and waiting on my Red Sea reefer 200xl (42 g). If I’m planning on keeping soft coral and lps will 1 Nero 5 work, or should I got with 2 Nero 3s?

I am a strong believer in always going more than you need incase you ever increase the tank size...which we all generally do. I would get two Nero 5s and turn them down, then if you upgrade you have them. I had two Nero 5s on my Reefer 250, and when I got my 525XL I still use them, just turned them up.

Mine sticks to the glass fine at 13mm thickness but it killed my fish and when I reported it to AI they didn't even apologise for a badly designed wave maker. Don't get me wrong, I love the product but given that they are now including a guard this tells you how wide spread the dead fish issues were. They sent me a link to their sales site where I could purchase a guard for $0.10 cents but $40 shipping to the UK!! I made my own in the end. But they're excellent pumps, almost victims of their own success I would say!!
I lost two fish to the Nero 5
