Im thinking about ordering a CAD Lights versa 68 or 92 gallon system(red sea is so much $$). I haven't read all greatest reviews online. Has anyone recently purchased a CAD setup? Also, the stands look great but why are they "Marine Grade MDF", isn't that stuff garbage?

thanks for the help.

Look into sca aquarium. I've been to cadlights facility and it's not all that. I've also went to sca aquarium and their operations and customer service is top notch. Purchased a sca 50g cube and very happy with prucase.

I have had a good experience with deep blue and if i had someone local that could build a stand like the Elos or red sea reefer(nice gloss or laminate white) i would just go with one of those. Im having a tuff time finding someone and don't have the space at my apartment to build one.

I have a cadlight 125gallon. The tank it's nice. But I don't like the sump. It leak over the time. And I upgraded the pump and skimmer. And I use my one pvc pumping for Home Depot. The pumping they give to you it's suck. Don't use it.

My current tank is a Cad Lights 92 Versa I bought and set up about 1 1/2 years ago, absolutely no complaints, it's probably my favorite in the last 30 years.

I may not have ordered a Versa 68 or 92, but I did order a Versa 42 on April 24th. Once I receive it and set it up, I will let you know how it is.
I have heard pretty bad reviews about them as well. I decided to try them out and give Cadlights a shot, hopefully they can somewhat redeem themselves.

Any chance I could see some pictures of the whole tank? I'm really thinking of getting this same one!

I purchased a 70G Artisan II a couple of years ago. Very pleased with the build, Stand is not MDF, it's furniture grade plywood. Had some communication issues but everything worked out well.

I recently purchased a 100g and I am not a satisfied customer. There are bubbles on the back between the glass and the backing material. Cadlights CS blows. They basically told me to live with it. I didn't notice it until it was set up and filled so returning it was not a practical option. Rest of the quality is not great but OK. I have built three 100g rimless tanks and I could do at least as good and there would not be bubbles on the back glass.

Just wondering why if you have the expertise to build your own and have built them before why you didnt build one instead of buying a premade tank. I think if i had the tools and knowledge to build a tank and be confident in the integrity of the build i would not be buying one.

Idk, I looked at the price of glass and the work and figured for a couple of hundred more $$ I would buy one. It was a mistake to be sure. I did build my 50g sump though.
