120 is way too high for TA! It should be no higher than 80 for a saltwater pool. You should add more muriatic acid and try to get to 7.0 until it equalizes.

Well crap! The pool store where I've been getting some things recommended 120 as a target! I just raised it from 80 to 120! They also recommended Free Chlorine 1-3. 3-5 seems really high? Is that comfortable? Mine is at 3 at the present .
I added some acid last night and lowered the pH from 7.8 to 7.4. I'll further lower it and monitor the alkalinity. Is the alkalinity issue because of scaling?
What do you recommend for calcium?
