I am looking for a external pump to run external on a closed loop system . I know I can't run a jebao allready tried it leaked so I was looking at a waveline rlss 12000 any suggestions ? Thanks

The builds on these DC palms are generic as they get. Some brands will go the extra mile but at the end of the day if it's not something like a Red Dragon pump I wouldn't recommend trying unless you have done research and everyone says you can run them externally.

Thanks I have a dart as a backup in case I cant find one .

I heard good things about the reef octopus but they need a bigger version more gph.

I have the diablo 10500 running externally, but I am not sure they are making those anymore.

I'm running 2 RO 10500's externally for my returns. RO is making their own branded DC pump. Look into the Red Dragon DC pumps.

I have no problem with my wave line dc 10000II. It's very quiet and no heat at all.

The red dragons look nice but out of my price range.

I ran my Jebao DC6000 Externally as a Closed loop for about 6 months before I tore my old system down. It performed really well. now it has been in service as a submerged return pump on my new system and is dead silent and performs flawlessly. it is quieter than my skimmer is and that is pretty silent. the new tank is in our living room and is about 3 feet from my easy chair. We have not had to increase the TV volume at all.
