It happened to me twice already I think. I drove by the Carl's Jr. for a $6 burger.....The cashier asked me if I wanted ketch-up..."sure please" I said.

I came back to the office and I did not see any ketchup packages when I opened the bag, so I was like "OK, I can do without". I opened the box for the burger and I got a chicken sandwich instead of what I asked for (not mentioning the burger costs more). I am sure if I call and complain, they will give me a free burger but I don't want to drive back or pick up that free sandwich on my next trip (very awkward. I don't even like getting free sandwich when I have a coupon).....Not only me, the person that was planning of eating healthy is messed up too I hope he/she got something for that ..... :-)

Sad thing of complaining at a fast food joint is what they do to your order behind that counter. I would just check next time before I leave .

Pitiful. How hard is it to put the right sandwich in the bag.
No pay for them and no pride in their jobs.
Tell you boss to buy a grill so you can make your own at work :)

LOL, the last time this happened I started checking but then many times after that there was no mistake so I forgot and bam it happens again. I don't eat out much so things like this I forget...oh well, I hope the guy that got my sandwich can eat beef because I have some friends and they can only eat chicken..... :-)

And they want $15 an hour for that mistake. Drive thru isnt allowed where i live, but we do other stupid stuff.

At least you got a sandwich,.

IME, it was an order of chicken nuggets, don't make me wrong, I checked and the chicken nuggets box is there, but when I got home to eat, it was just mayonnaise inside the box. LOL

Lucky enough, McDonald's is just 2 blocks away from my house, so I went back there and asked for the supervisor. Of coarse I explained to him the situation in a calm and nice way,. He end up giving me the right order and 3 free meal vouchers

I threw a large diet coke in Wendy's derive thru window.... Asked for chicken salad sandwich got a chicken salad after argueing with the girl as I sat waiting for what I ordered popped the straw into my large coke, swallow, booooom diet bout choked to death. Asked for my money back and when I got it said you can keep this too and tossed it into the window am I proud of it no would I do it again ........ Probably :-P

I figure my order is wrong 50% of the time at the fast food places around me. Of course I'm ordering for 5 so I guess that increases the odds of getting it wrong.

Nothing big here. Usually they add/ don't add (a) topping(s). One time they forgot a soft taco at Taco Bell. I noticed before I drove back to work so I walked in with my receipt and they didn't argue they just gave me another. One time at Sonic they messed something up. We called and got the meal we originally ordered for free. It does get annoying when McDonalds doesn't add BBQ sauce or something with the nuggets though, usually I check for that since more than once they don't add it even though they ask what kind of sauce.

Usually when I get my food, I drive up one car length and do a quick headcount in the bag to make sure I got the right number of things and then leave.

4 kids...I always check.

I work for a convenience store chain. My store typically does from 400 to 900 hoagies daily. That is just hoagies, not sandwiches, soups, sides, lattes, milkshakes, etc. When you consider the volume of orders put out, mistakes get made. The most important thing to remember is that the vast majority of workers actually want to do their job properly and should be treated with respect.

My first job was at a Mc Donald. For this instance, I blame no one but my self for not checking the bag/box. :-) it could have been worst LOL really

having to check every freaking time = poor @@@ service
I am in a drive through, why should the person behind me have to wait.
Should be drive up and make sure to check because we suck at putting what you ordered in the bag.

We need to stop making excuses for these places.
We as customers allow this :) to continue.

Bending over and kicking virtual self in the @@@

I usually don't like when businesses pay employees minimum wage. Should fast food people make that? Ya they should 90% of the time, but it would be crappy nonetheless. I work at a factory. We go through one person every 3.6 days. That's literally 100 people on average a year. We're talking I started as an employee number in the 400's we are now at 1400's and two and a half years ago my friend started as 900. So actually it has been 500 people in 2.5 years. Which is basically twice as much. Our staff is approxamently 90 people. Everyone leaves or they let them go. they have some people as temperarys working here for 3 years without a raise or being hired kept at minimum wage. Meanwhile the boss says money is fluff and talks about his numbers. I don't like business people who can keep a worker for 3 years at minimum wage not being hired. Sick part too is when you watch someone work their butt off and they don't know the difference from that person and the one that drives to target while on the clock to do grocery shopping.
