This is a true BGM that had normal coloration for the last year and over the last few months has morphed in to this beauty. Anyone else had anything like this happen? I'd love to see how it responds to different peoples tanks.

I have Cornbred's Bubble Gum that looks EXACTLY like yours. At one point it was purple and pink. It usually is caused by high light or a certain spectrum. I noticed mine would loose its morph when I took a pink/purple/red bulb out of my t5 combo.

I don't see why people are saying it looks like it's being kept under high light when it's clearly sitting on the bottom of the tank.that is a beautiful chalice and I have seen a few other examples of BGM's morphing but yours looks awesome for sure.you should give a frag or two to friends of yours and see if it holds those colors in other systems.

From what I've seen it's very common in mature colonies like what the original mummy eye does when it matures

It's actually in a 16" deep tank light by 72w of LED's. When it was originally purchased, it was under 14k 150w Phoenix's and morphed under 10k 250 Mogul's. It has held it's coloration under the LED's though and there's definitely very little red/pink. Here's a pic of my OME and MH, both have stayed true to color, this one just seems to have "walked it's own path".

This one came out super blue in the pic, it's not near that blue.

Mine became the most orange under LEDs aswell, t5's was the next best though. My tank is also 16 deep and I have an orange cornbred bbgm.

I have had the opposite thing happen with one of my BGMs. I had it start as a rainbow pinkish greenish beauty like that, i placed it on the sand bed and i slowly saw the color fade into the standard BGM green. the eyes stayed true to color though, I recently placed it higher in hopes of some new colors
