Anyone else watching Shark Week?!

I was a bit surprised to find out that in Mexico they are illegally catching baby Great Whites, Makos and Hammerheads for their fins! I did not know this!! They showed *The Dumping Grounds* for the dead sharks. Made me sick to my stomach :(

I've been watching all week. I love shark week! Seems people are responsible for increased attacks on humans. I'm not surprised.

I love shark week, but they ruined it a bit this year. The sharkteeto episode was dumb. I'm surprised that discovery went along with that.

Yes I'm watching it. I love Shark Week too! The most disturbing episode to me was the one where a shark attacked the boat then the people on board....all recorded! They never found the bodies, but did find the camera footage. SCARY!!!

I usually love shark week as well but am very disappointed with this one. The megaladon show killed it for me and I haven't watched much since. I guess I just expect more from discovery channel. To kick off shark week with a fake overly dramatized show was a poor choice on their end. I expect more factual shows from discovery and was very disappointed. I usually watch all of it and this year after that show have probably only watched another hour.

Do not let *one bad apple* ruin the whole show for you! I know of the one your talking about. Yes it was totally stupid! But look past it if you can. I did and am the better educated for it :) FYI-they haven't played it again ;)

Man, that angers me! Why would they put something like that out and not say it was fictitious? It really disturbed me. I have a new found distaste for Discovery Channel. Thanks for letting me know. :embarassed:
