Anyone growing Heart of the Ocean?

Been on the hunt for this one for a while but haven’t been having much luck. Anyone know of a source? I know the original colony died but there must be some smaller colonies that are a fragable size out there.

My HOTO came from jda. It’s still just a small frag though. Doug (jda) received his from Peng. It’s a crazy blue stick. Perhaps the bluest stick in the hobby.

I would guess it’s a vermiculata but maybe someone else has a more informed guess. Nice blue piece, even the standard blue vermi are stunning but from the pics this one looks extra vibrant. Jda can you post an update on how yours looks?

scchase, boom, av99, Ed and Ty all got pieces from me. If they list it for sale or trade, it is legit. peng no longer has any.

Mine is growing. I fragged it 4-5 times earlier in the year, so I am letting it grow back out. Next frag is for me to put in my other tank as a backup.

I'd be interested to see a growing piece also. Does it hold the vibrant blue in fresh growth or does it come in as the growth matures?

Fiji had some of the best blue/purple acros. I remember seeing some pieces like this coming in from Walt that were crazy iridescent.

I agree and am so bored with figi not shipping. Most of the actual rare pieces I have seen were from wild figi boxes.
