Anyone had a Midas Blenny do this?

He has been digging a hole under my trachy for an hour obviously making himself a sand cave. He always sleeps in rock holes for multiple years now so I wonder why all of sudden he prefers the bottom in the sand?

I guess my blenny just wants to be as close as possible to me and stare at me. At least someone besides the dog likes me in the house.
