Anyone have a bio cube?

I keep seeing little bubbles in the water and idk how to make it stop

Also I've been reading a lot about the bio balls that came with it and I've decided to take them out.. How do I do so the tank has been running a little over a month

Check to make sure the water around the return pump isn't too low. It can start a little whirlpool and suck in air. If that's fine it could be the return line tubing is sucking in air. I'd take the bio balls out a little at a time to try to avoid throwing the balance off with our bio load.

here you go sir, start here. those balls(lol) should have been out of that tank along time ago. Check what jimbo suggested also when a pump is on its way out it can show those signs. i had a biocube and it was a great first tank.

I currently have a coralife 29 gallon biocube. I also had the same problems with micro-bubble that you have. I run a aqualife 115 skimmer in chamber 1, use stevet's media basket and fuge in chamber 2. CHamber 3 has the return pump and heater in it. The bubbles were not coming from the skimmer as I had originally figured. Never did figure out the cause but to fix it I put my return pump in a filtersock and keep the back chambers filled to the first lip in the back chambers. Problem solved. Mine is over the max line think that could be the problem?

check the tubing connections. It may be pulling in air from a tiny leak.

no being over the max line is not it. Most people fill them up way past the max line. I actually have mine right below the return hose on the return nozzle.

I've messed with the pump and it's a little better I also angled the return flow up where it's making the top of the water move I'm going to the store tomorrow to get a sock and we shall see how it goes and how do I get these dang bio balls out lol

I have had a 29 gallon biocube up and running for about 19 months and love it! The dang things do not come with enough information for a new owner though. I replaced the bioballs with some tennis ball sized pieces of live rock. Have you noticed the black sponge that separates the middle chamber from the return chamber? If that gets clogged then the water diverts through the small over flow hole near the top of the chamber which could create bubbles that your return pump would pick up. Check that sponge out. It also needs to be rinsed in saltwater weekly. I hope this helps you!

I've taking it out and did what you said and I'm still seeing bubbles what if I take it out and leave it out

I also got a media bag over my pump and also used stainless steel hose claps

If your water level is at least higher than the minimum line and there is nothing clogging that filter sponge then I am stumped. I would leave the filter sponge in as its a good source of biological filtration.
