Anyone have dove snails?

Yes! I love them. Super active, super good at getting in the nooks and crannies. Even go between zoa polyps to eat the gunk. I don’t have macro algae so can’t attest to that, but they get two thumbs up from me.

Where did you get yours?
And could you sell me some?

I got some scattered about…the one I have were labeled “Lighting dove snails”
Hermits did in most, the survivors hid mostly in my case…I wouldn’t rule out dissimilar testimony as the species and circumstances might be different ..
I have hermits and I hate them, so the snails could be reacting …I dunno

I've heard lighting doves aren't the same as true doves, it seems like they kind of suck.

Gotta be different,

Yeah, the other post has me thinking the same

These guys were more of an issue for me than anything. Breeding too fast and getting caught in impellers. I dont usually see them for sale but will spot them from time to time at the lfs. Most employees will just give it to you for free or at most $1 each

IDK how I got these things...but I have them in all 3 tanks now! started in my 300, so I just grabbed handfuls, and put into the other tanks. they are prolific breeders!!! and yes, they'll jack up all your pumps and wave makers! :)

good to know that im not the only one that happened to. My needle wheel on the skimmer would always be full of em too

I've heard they do great in macroalgae tanks, since they eat microalge off of the macros, anyone have any more insights?
Also looking to buy some, since they are out of stock everywhere.
Here's my market place post

YES! Best snail ever. It's the only one who actually does eat off of rocks and macroalgae. Also they stay alive which is more I can say about turbos and many others. I'm never getting anything over that dove snails, cerite snails and nassarius again.
