Anyone running a Sicce Syncra SDC 9.0 on a closed loop or externally?

How are you guys gluing these up? I just picked up one of these pumps and the 1" pvc slip adapters only allow the 1" pvc pipe to slide in about 1/2"??? How are you supposed to glue that? Looks like there is a small ridge/stop on the inside of the adapter that needs removed to slide the pipe down farther.

The 1” PVC connections are what’s keeping me from trying these for my closed loops. Probably going with Vectra L2’s because of the beefier unions

The pump is awesome and really pushes some water. The pvc connections seem well built I just do not understand why they put the inner pipe stop ridge so shallow. I will probably just sand it off and push the pipe in farther.

Very much so. I have one as my primary return pump in my sump in the basement returning water 1 floor up to my DT. Basically zero maintenance in 2.5 years.
im looking to put one in my basement too im measuring 9 ft vertical but assuming 13-14 ft head based on loss from friction and plumbing fittings... i am going to try to use all 45's or spa flex with gentle bends to get it to the second floor.. its a 160 gal display so im wondering if the 9.0 is overkill

With the app it can be reduced to as low as you like. For such a setup I think you’ll want as much horsepower as you can get. Scale it down as needed. Mines a 240 gallon.
