Anyone trying the jebao ML 120 LED?

Interesting light for a pretty great price. It is black box but i do like jebao over a lot of other knockoff companies. Anyone trying em out yet? Looks like a good competitor for the smatfarms led

I have not tried this specific one. I did recently try and compare a knockoff kessil a360x against the real one. I found that the knockoff did not blend the colors as well. I could see a rainbow effect coming off my wall. It didn’t use the same lenses either. It was noticeably different to the eye. I did manage to find a setting that mimicked the 360x. I hated the Chinese app. Even the English version was predominantly in Chinese. It made tuning very difficult. Im sure that it could grow coral just as well but like Blaxsun, I would prefer to pay more knowing that I have data supporting results. Im fortunate to be able to buy the Kessils. However, if on a budget, I would absolutely recommend the knockoffs.

that being said, jebao has a good reputation.

Saying that, I'm not sure I would pick one of these over the mentioned Smat Farm. The dimpled lenses on the Smat Farm still looks superior to the lenses on the Jebao. I wonder what the spread is on these? any shimmer? The Smat Farms actually provide great shimmer, so I wonder how these compare. With no dimpled lenses, I wonder if these disco ball at all?

Will be watching for someone to review these.

true have to see the color mixing in person, the lenses look similar to radion g4/g3 or ai lenses so there could be color separation issues, hard to say

You've got my attention. What are you thoughts and experiences? I am considering lighting for my wife's future peninsula build.

Smatfarm 140w G6 is AMAZING 6 channel light. I have a ton of growth in 2 months. I’m blown away. Beautiful shimmer and tons of new color and did I mention growth. Acro, montis, hammers, zoas, softies a 75g display with 1! right now, I can’t wait to get my 2nd one. No wifi or other fancy bells and whistling. You get sunrise/sunset and moonlight all adjustable with some pre loaded programming. I am still working it up on power. Now at:
Ch1 2% CH2 84%. CH3 84%
CH4 82% CH5 4% CH6 3%
