I have been using a calcium reactor for the last 6 months and have stable parameters but very low ph. I just added a kalk reactor to raise ph and hope it’s beneficial. Anyone else ??

I personally don't add Kalk to my tank, but have seen other post that do run kalk with carx, or just dosing to bring PH up.

But honestly, don't chase numbers. If all is happy and growing at an acceptable low ph, then let it ride.

Forgot to mention too is see if you can add more surface agitation to your DT and see if it helps too. Perfect if you had just 1 gyre pointing up.

The combination cant be beat (In my opinion)

They complement eachother very well, not only will you have the pH elevation, but using kalk in addition to a CalRx will enable you to tune the reactor much more "mildly" saving CO² and media so you wont have to worry about refilling the tank and media as much.

Yeah, kalk reactors work very well. The only downside is dosing the same amount every day, ie if you just use it for top off water it will vary depending on evaporation. I run mine off a diaphragm pump for 6 seconds an hour, so it's like 35ml and then an ato does the slack top off. A peristaltic pump would be fine if your rodi water is close (mine is 50 feet away). Combined with a fresh air tube for the skimmer and I'm hitting 8.4 daytime to 8.2 nighttime. I also have a decent refugium that runs 18 hours a day. I switched from sodium carbonate two part to a carx three weeks ago and it's only a 0.05 pH hit. That's with alkalinity in the 8-9 range.

I use 2 part and kalk at the same time. The only thing I would is use it's own doser so you can get it to consistent every day. Its one of the best for higher pH... 7.6 is LOW. You'll noticed mammoth sized gains if you can get it over 8
