Anyone using the Reefbreeders v2+ leds??

Hey guys so after 6+ years I'm ready to upgrade my reefbreeders photon 48 light and I'm looking at their new v2+ 50 fixture. Has anyone tried it? Pictures plz!

I like the company, the price ($715), and that I would only need one fixture for my tank (60x18x24").

Or can you guys recommend something else for my mixed reef? I don't need anything with wifi capabilities, just a ramp up/down control ability. Thanks!

Works great. They grow sps well. The bigger sps pieces are about 1 yr old from my 750xxl with the 50" photon v2+. Transfered to this tank about 4 or 5 months ago while I do a reboot on my 750xxl to go V snail free and all sps. Green slimer on top is 2-3 months of growth from 1" frag, almost 3" now and branching. Others are recently bought frags encrusting over plugs. This tank is also running 24" photon v2+.

Hey thanks for the reply! What size is your tank? 160 or 200g? Are you just using one v2+50? How is the coverage? From your picture the colors look very similar to my reefbreeders v1 fixture. Have you owned any other lights like the hydras or black boxes or anything? Just wondering how the lights colors compare.

The picture above is a IM 50g tank using the 24" photon v2+. My red sea 750 which is 160g display is using the 50" photon v2+ but its currently cycling and starting over. The 50" v2+ grew my lps and tester sps well. For a mixed reef that you are targeting then one is good enough but for a full front to back sps tank, you will need to add more lights such as t5 or led bars. I have some black boxes and kessils for my 20g long frag tank and qt tanks and the photons has better options for spectrum. If your on a budget then the photon v2+ is good if not then go radions.
